Dr. William Tan completes 7 Marathon on 7 Continents in 7 Days

66 years old Dr. William Tan has successfully completed the World Marathon Challenge where he raced 7 marathons on 7 continents over 7 days. This year's edition saw about 50 athletes taking part including two wheelchair athletes. Dr. William completed the challenge in a wheelchair while the other para-athlete completed the challenge on a handcycle.
The World Marathon Challenge is an endurance event that takes place annually and involves running seven marathons on seven continents within seven consecutive days. The event is considered one of the most grueling physical challenges in the world, as participants are required to complete a full marathon distance (26.2 miles or 42.195 kilometers) in each of the seven locations, which are spread across the world and include Africa, Antarctica, Australia, Asia, Europe, South America, and North America.
The event is designed to test the limits of human endurance and attract top athletes and endurance enthusiasts from around the world. The World Marathon Challenge is a physically and mentally demanding feat that requires careful preparation, training, and a strong mental attitude.
Dr. William embarked on the journey that pushed the boundaries of human endurance as he completed the first race in the freezing Antarctic terrain of Novo. He then continued his journey of determination as he headed to Cape Town, South Africa for the second race, followed by the third in the sun-soaked landscape of Perth, Australia. With unwavering spirit, Dr. William took on the challenge in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and the fifth leg in Madrid, Spain, showcasing his remarkable strength and resilience. As he made his way to Fortaleza, Brazil for the penultimate race, and finally to Miami, United States of America for the last leg, Dr. William inspired all with his unwavering determination to persevere and overcome every obstacle.
